7/22/2026: Continued on from Echo Bay (near #2) to Sointula (#6) where we stayed one night before cruising just a few miles across the channel back to Port McNeill (#7). We left the boat in Port McNeill for about 10 days to head back home for tennis, doctor appointments, and kids catching up with their friends. Spent one night in Port McNeill after returning to the boat then headed to Lagoon Cove (#14). We hadn’t been there before and had been planning on spending two nights. We really liked it but had to takeoff after one night to get Graham to Campbell River (#28) to be seen for an earache. Dropped Graham and Bri in Brown’s Bay (#27) and topped off fuel tanks while we waited for slack water in Seymour Narrows (between 27 and 28 - currents can reach max speed of up to 15 knots!). Ended up staying that night at April Point (#30) - took the dinghy across the channel to pick Bri and Graham up at Campbell River after their 5 hour visit to the ER! From there we cruised to a favorite spot, Prideaux Haven in Desolation Sound, where we dropped the anchor in Laura Cove (near #39) and enjoyed the sunshine and swimming in 70 degree water. 155 total miles traveled on this update.

7/5/2026: Continued on from Blind Channel (#1) to Forward Harbor (#6) where we anchored for a night to wait out the wind in Johnstone Strait. Had a nice, calm cruise the next day up Johnstone Strait (#9-12) to Port McNeill (#12) where we stayed two nights. Then up to the Broughton Islands where our first stop was at Sullivan Bay (near #18). From there we took a short cruise up to the anchorage at Turnbull Cove (red triangle near #23). Planning on heading to Echo Bay today (pink dot SE of #34). We may stop to fish along the way between waypoints 32 and 33. 125 total miles traveled on this update.

From Captain Dan (6/30):  #1 is where we started (Campbell River).  #2 is the Seattle Yacht Club Outstation at Cortes Bay where we stopped to have lunch and hang out for a bit on our first day out.  #9 is Dent Island which we love and spent two nights.  #16 is Blind Channel where we spent last night.  Probably going to leave here to today and continue on N/W but haven’t figured out the plan yet.
